King Tut quilting thread is a #40/3 extra-long staple Egyptian-grown cotton. King Tut quilting thread has very low lint and is extra strong. Each spool has 500 yards.

For home machines, we recommend using a  Topstitch #90/14 needle and setting your tension around a 3.0 or 4.0.

  • Made from the cream of the crop cotton in Egypt, King Tut Quilting Thread is 100% Extra Long Staple (ELS) Egyptian cotton, available in 500 yd spool or 2,000 yd cone.
  • Over 50 beautiful colors, including 16 tone-on-tone variegated colors by Sue Nickels,
  • 12 tone-on-tone variegated colors by Betty Cotton,
  • 30 other variegated colors, and 7 solid neutral colors.
  • All variegated colors have a one inch color-change interval, which means the colors will flow through your design.
  • suitable for hand, machine, and longarm quilting.
