whatever settings you use for free motion quilting are the same settings you should use for ruler foot quilting. stitch length 0 (or the lowest setting) and the feed dogs covered with a Grid glider or slider.
your stitch length is 100% up to you. Your hand movement dictates quilt slowly, don't be tempted to go quickly. Move your hands slowly and steadily, stop at curves and angles, keep the template against the ruler foot - hug your ruler, make smooth, steady movements as you quilt. We have many videos showing how to start. This section is purely showing the easy templates that many start off with.
*We suggest you have Test blocks 10" square is great, before starting to quilt on your project - ALWAYS - test sew. You can check your tension - really important, new bobbins another reason to Test before sewing. You will be so much happier knowing your stitches are as you want them to appear on your project.
