A playful pup with a modern attitude! Slash 'n sew applique with a jelly roll or fat quarters make this quilt so fun to do! Full size applique patterns and detailed instructions included.

Finished size 53x64in.

These quilts are a combination of machine piecing and applique.

The wonderful dogs pieced using a jelly roll, and the scrappy border is just fun!
Start the pattern by constructing the border units

Next create a panel with the 2 ½” strips using improv piecing, trace the dog pattern and fuse it onto that panel.

12 assorted 1/3 yard cuts of fabric for dog border units
• Solid reading fabric for dog background – 2 yards or 22” x 68” piece• Jelly roll or grouping of other 2½” strips (need 30 for dogs); you can also make a dog from a single fabric; (need 6 FQs for dogs,)
• An 8” square of black fabric for all dog eyes
• For dog only: 6 different ribbons (6” each) or fabric scraps for collars
• Backing & binding fabrics and batting requirements are on the pattern
