What does this mean? Trilobal polyester is a gorgeous and shiny thread that loves to show off. The word “tri” in trilobal refers to the shape of the thread which is actually triangular in shape. The flat sides of the thread reflect light much better than a round thread does, making it a shinier thread that is meant to stand out.

Glide is a 40wt trilobal polyester thread. It was designed to give you high quality stitches with consistent tension.
- Glide has a brilliant sheen and has the look of Rayon
- Glide runs through your machine clean and is virtually lint-free
If you have a choice of two different threads which are very close to the fabric color, always go for the darker thread.
A lighter thread will be more visible whereas darker threads will tend to blend in to the seam.
With patterned materials the best advice is to go with the background color
